Flexible solutions for the energy industry
The CENTRAX CU5000 combines in one hat rail housing the functionality of a highly accurate measurement device for power applications with the possibilities of a freely programmable PLC according IEC 61131. Thus, in many cases, there is no need for a separate PLC, a control system, a remote display or an additional data collector.
The measurement part of the CU5000 determines in high quality more than 1500 state, energy consumption and power quality information. The control application (based on CODESYS) can then process these data logically, use them in control algorithms or respond to power generation or consumers in accordance with the application. The device can communicate with the process environment via freely selectable I/Os and via Modbus interfaces.
The Control functionality is provided in three performance classes: BASIC: Flexible processing of the data of the measurement device with full use of the I/O functionality ADVANCED: In addition, the possibility to read and use data from other measurement instruments via Modbus RTU/TCP, as well as to trigger time-depending processes PROFESSIONAL: For creating your own web visualization and to use the local display for self-defined visualizations Basic functionality Direct measurement up to 690V, CATIII Condition monitoring: class 0.1 (U/I), class 0.2 (P/Q/S) Energy consumption analysis, class 0.5S (meters, load profiles, trend analysis) Harmonic analysis acc. IEC 61000-4-7 System imbalance monitoring Universal process I/O Graphical measurement displays (with option TFT display) Standard I/Os (1 digital input, 2 digital outputs) Ethernet interface Device parameterization via WEB browser Firmware update Measurement display Measurement acquisition via control system (Modbus/TCP server) ADVANCED function: Measurement acquisition from other devices (Modbus/TCP master) Service and maintenance Data logger Periodical data: Load profiles, meter readings Disturbance recorder: Recording of voltage events (acc. PQ standard IEC 61000-4-30) Events: Logbook of the occurrences of system events

Extensions Two extensions can be implemented in the device. You may select from: 2 relay outputs 2 analog outputs ±20mA 4 analog outputs ±20mA 4 S0 digital inputs active 4 S0 digital inputs passive Fault current detection Each fault current module provides two channels for monitoring differential or fault currents in earthed AC current systems. In any case measurement has to be performed via suitable current transformers, a direct measurement is not possible. Time synchronization via GPS Very accurate time synchronization of the measurement device using a preconfigured GPS receiver (accessory).
